Asif Sinan casts a jazzical spell on India

He travels the world, from Germany to the USA, producing sitar sounds from his guitar – an instrumental style he invented and dubbed 'Jazzical' – but only just played in India for the first time.

Musician Asif Sinan performed at the recent TEDx India Secunderabad in a session titled 'Fingers that play magic', where he bowled over the audience with his unique instrumental style.

"They thought they were listening to live Coke Studio," Sinan said to Images.

And that indeed appears to be the case:

In addition to his music, Sinan also piqued people's interest with his truck art-laden guitar case:

The theme for TEDx India Secunderabad was 'Unlocking South Asian potential' - and it's paved the way for artistes from the region to collaborate.

"I'm in talks with an Indian veena player, with whom I'll be experimenting with the national anthem. We have this planned for next Independence Day."
