In a world where even the smallest acts of kindness can have the most lasting impact, Lifebuoy is spreading the message of goodwill and love through their new campaign, Extend a Hand of Goodness (Achayi Ka Haath Barhao). The holy month is a chance opportunity for Muslims across the world to reflect, practice self-discipline and extend a helping hand to those in need by carrying out small gestures and acts of kindness, giving back to the community and sharing.

The campaign began with a special PR box called, “Little Hands, Big Blessings,” which was sent out to prominent content creators who created heartfelt videos with their children. Designed with Lifebuoy’s classic red colour, the box consisted of an Activity Book Kit that had engaging tasks, stories and lessons for the little ones. One of the first sections of the book was focused on carrying out good deeds during the blessed month called the 30 Days, 30 Good Deeds.

Apart from that, there was a hygiene card to educate kids on cleanliness, a prayer mat to encourage establishing daily prayers, and a Naiki Box, where children could save money and donate it to those in need. Other items included a Ramazan Roadmap that allowed kids to plan out their days in Ramazan, which also doubled up as a fridge magnet and a Lifebuoy Handwash to explain to the kids that hygiene is an essential part of daily routines.

In the second phase of the campaign, content creators were tasked with sharing meaningful moments with their children and family members, highlighting the importance of doing good deeds during Ramazan. The creators demonstrated how simple it is for children to practice generosity, such as donating toys or clothes to those in need, teaching them to give away things they value.

Another powerful message was about reaching out to the elderly who often feel neglected or sidelined during Ramazan by visiting them and spending quality time together. Just sitting with them and listening to their stories brightens up their entire day.

Additionally, being someone’s spiritual buddy emerged as a beautiful practice where children paired up with siblings, cousins or even parents, encouraging one another to perform good deeds, pray together and support each other throughout the holy month. The third phase of the campaign was a special iftar event that Lifebuoy hosted at Edhi Child Home, which allowed the kids at the establishment to have a day full of laughter and joy.

The air was filled with laughter as the kids got to decorate Eid cards, share their ideas of good deeds on the Gratitude Wall, and interact with celebrities including Fatima Effendi, Sunita Marshall and Juggun Kazim. The evening ended with everyone sitting down and breaking their fast together.

Lifebuoy’s campaign stands as a shining example of how small acts of kindness and good deeds have the power to make someone’s day better and add some amount of happiness to their lives, regardless of how small they are. It reminded people, especially children, that not everyone around us is fortunate enough to have a Ramazan with a table full of food and shiny new clothes.

Lifebuoy has shown that Ramazan is also about spreading love, kindness and gratitude. By nurturing these values, people are building a brighter, more compassionate future for children and communities.
