Maybe he was a very lucky person who got a chance to ask forgiveness before he left, said his duas before takeoff, recited the kalima when he knew his fate, and died a believer who changed so many peoples' lives. That's a gift for him but so sad for us that he is gone. Inna lilaahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon

PIA should be reformed as such all the planes must be expected by FAA. Layoff unnecessary people and make this airline as an airline where people can trust them with their lives. This should done in the memory of these people who got killed by PIA. RIP for those who died.

Nation lost it's Son. People Loved him. I remember he came to Washington DC in 1995 or 96 to celebrate PAK Independence day. We were all gathered near the Washington Monument and host made the announcement that Vital signs have left LA sometime ago and will arrive in DC the next 2 to 3 hours. There were about 6 to 8 thousand people and most waited. Singer arrived with his band late in the evening and it was a huge performance.

According to PIA chairman, air craft ATR-42 was fit to fly, then why its left engine failed soon after flight. He is simply trying to hide the facts. Facts could be - skipping of checks and not maintaining and servicing air crafts properly. If he is so confident about checks, what went wrong? Why government does not order new air crafts? Why people have to become crash victims? Why PIA has one of the worst crash history? Will anyone responsible answer and will parliamentarians wake up now and will stop pulling legs of each other. Will government talk about fixing economy and funding more to institutions for rendering better services?????

Following paragraph should shed some light on the condition of the aircraft which met with accident: The aircraft in question was substantially damaged in 2009 when it ran off runway on landing at Lahore Airport. The aircraft was repaired and returned to service again. In 2014 the aircraft in question experienced another failure of its left engine during flight from Skardu to Islamabad.
