Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who's made waves by bagging her first Hollywood role on top of her successful venture into American TV with Quantico, is pushing boundaries once again.

Chopra has served as mentor and co-producer for a mobile series titled It's My City, in which she also plays a central character.

The 14-part series is a sitcom about "four girls on a journey of life, love and lunacy in Mumbai," reported IANS. The four girls are flatmates and live away from their family to pursue their individual dreams.

Priyanka will appear as herself, assuming the role of their landlady and unofficial guardian/friend. She said that "there is a huge parallel that can be drawn to my own reality of a young girl coming to Mumbai to literally make my dreams come true".

The actress hopes that the mobi-series will help her connect with her younger audience in "a whole new way": "Digital is the new frontier of content and I'm diving right in," she said. "It's a super exciting world in which I find myself equally fascinated with and immersed in completely."

It's My City began airing yesterday on January 22, and episodes will be broadcast biweekly on every Tuesday and Friday.

It is created by celebrity digital network Fluence and produced in association with Priyanka's production company Purble Pebble Pictures India and Endemol-Shine India.

The best role she has played is in Burphy, eventhough Ranbir Kapoor stole the show.
