Reality star Khloe Kardashian and basketball player Tristan Thompson expecting baby no.2
Although reality star Khloe Kardashian and basketball player Tristan Thompson are no longer a couple, they will reportedly be welcoming a second child together via surrogacy.
E!News quoted multiple sources who confirmed the news, as did People Magazine. A representative for Kardashian also confirmed the news. “We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November,” People quoted them as saying.
“Khloe is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family.”
Kardashian and Thompson started a relationship in 2016 and welcomed their first daughter, True, in April 2018. However, in 2019, Thompson was rumoured to have had an affair with Kardashian’s younger sister Kylie Jenner’s former best friend, Jordyn Woods. The couple then split in June 2021 after a report that Thompson was seen entering a bedroom with three women at a party in an LA mansion.
During the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the co-parents quarantined together and had an open conversation about wanting to give their daughter, True, a sibling. They officially got back together later that year.
However, in December 2021, Thompson faced a paternity lawsuit from Maralee Nicholas, who stated that they had an affair in March 2021. Thompson confirmed his paternity status via social media in January, along with a public apology to Khloe.
During a recent tell-all with ABC News called The Kardashians: An ABC News Special, Kardashian stated, “I still think he’s a great guy, and he’s a great dad. He’s just not the guy for me.”
In addition to this, in the first episode of the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the show that put the Kardashian family on the map, she opened up about her struggles with conceiving and shared that the doctors informed her that she would have a “high-risk” pregnancy if she chose to carry her own second child. Therefore, surrogacy has seemed like the best option for the third Kardashian sister.
