Great actors not only star in films together, they may also end up living in the same neighbourhood. Ranveer Singh’s hefty purchase of an apartment worth Rs3.12 billion (1.19 billion INR) has landed him in Shah Rukh Khan’s neighbourhood.

According to Pinkvilla, the Bajirao Mastani actor has bought a sea-view quadruplex flat in Sagar Resham — a super premium residential tower — in Bandra West, Mumbai. This makes the purchase one of the most expensive deals for a single residential apartment anywhere in the country, documents accessed by IndexTap (Indian platform that provides comparable transaction data across residential, commercial and loan transactions), showed.

Oh Five Oh Media Works LLP, the firm in which the 83 actor and his father Jugjeet Sundersingh Bhavnani are directors, bought the flat from Enorm Nagpal Realty LLP (a Limited Liability Partnership firm). They paid total stamp duty (tax levied on single property purchases) of Rs183 million for the transaction concluded through two separate agreements.

The flat takes up four floors — 16,17, 18 and 19 — of the tower and has 11,266 square-feet of carpeted area and a 1,300 sq-ft exclusive terrace. The deal is valued at over Rs0.3 million per sq ft.

The CEO and co-founder of Indextap, Abhishek Kiran Gupta, said, “[The] Bandra-Juhu belt has been a favourite among tinsel town. Therefore we are not surprised by this transaction. The Bandstand location is especially the most sought after with the likes of superstars Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan residing in the vicinity. This deal was concluded at just over a [Rs0.3 million] per sq ft rate as the property comes with a spacious terrace and several car parks further augmenting the luxury deal.”

@Multani Same goes for Indian Cricketers. No comparison of compensation Indian Cricketer receive over Pakistani Cricketer. I read India is going Sri Lankan way. Not possible when an apartment sells at this price and people have this much money to pay.

@Multani A 2bhk apartment about 40 mins away from Mumbai city centre costs Rs. 2 crore INR. All apartments sold out. Real estate is having a good time with record stamp duty collection by municipal bodies. Must be indicating something isnt it
