Bilal Saeed is back with a new song, 'Judaiya', and this time it's a collaboration with British singer-songwriter Ezu and features Isabelle Kaif, the sister of Bollywood starlet Katrina Kaif, in the music video. An emotional number about misunderstandings in love, the Punjabi song has surpassed six million views on YouTube. Saeed spoke to Images about how it came together and discussed his overall music journey.

Commenting on how the collaboration happened, he told Images, "I have always loved supporting talented artists and musicians. Ezu's management approached me for a collaboration. Ezu has done wonders with his previous two albums." The singer revealed that when Ezu shared 'Judaiya' with him, he found the composition "amazing" and "agreed to working with him, without having second thoughts."

When asked about Isabelle's involvement, Saeed shared that "Isabelle had been in everyone's mind for a while. Since everyone was on the same page, video production was able to loop her in and voila, here she is."

The 'La La La' singer said the music video was shot in various parts of London and its outskirts and "it was an amazing experience working with Isabelle". "This project was fun, we cracked jokes about how my song 'Teri Khair Mangdi' in the Bollywood film Baar Baar Dekho, [with] her sister Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra, has done wonders."

"You see, people when they meet Isabelle, always perceive her as Katrina's sister only. What they totally do not see is how amazingly talented Isabelle is. She is a dedicated professional who knows what she is doing and works relentlessly and committedly for her projects," Saeed added.

Speaking about working with people from another music industry in comparison to the Pakistani music industry, the 'Adhi Adhi Raat' singer said, "A very major chunk of my work has been with international artists and with the experience and exposure I gained, I really wanted to settle down in my homeland and help build the Pakistani music industry. Hence I launched One Two Records, to give an opportunity to the talented musicians in Pakistan a chance to showcase their music to the world."

He named various artists he's collaborated with — Neha Kakkar, Bohemia, Amrinder Gill, Dr Zeus, Roach Killa, Fateh and Shortie — and said he started his music career abroad with '12 Saal'. "I slowly started getting projects from Bollywood. 'Teri Kahir Mangdi' got featured in the Katrina and Malhotra starrer Baar Baar Dekho. It hit a whopping a 300 million plus views [on YouTube] and 'La La La' was featured in Saif Ali Khan starrer Bazaar."

Saeed said he ventured into the Pakistani music industry with 'Baari' with Momina Mustehsan for One Two Records and that was his "closest experience of working in Pakistan." He said he handpicked his video production team and shot 'Baari' in the walled city of Lahore. "This experience was refreshing and wonderful. I have always been amazed at the talent Pakistan has and I absolutely adored working with everyone here."

Saeed is a popular singer who's had quite a few collaborations across borders for Bollywood. He's also been embroiled in controversy in the past for shooting the music video for his song 'Qubool' featuring Saba Qamar at Wazir Khan Mosque and for attacking a woman last year.
