The highly acclaimed HUM TV drama Parizaad had its first cinematic screening in Lahore on January 28 — and the special occasion was attended by the cast and crew of the drama, including Ahmad Ali Akbar, Saboor Aly and Ushna Shah.

Directed by Shehzad Kashmiri, Parizaad is based on Hashim Nadeem's novel of the same name. The story revolves around a dark-skinned main character — played by the versatile Akbar — who is pure of heart and gifted but is constantly disregarded and treated poorly by people around him. The drama takes viewers through the unconventional story of Parizaad's struggles and successes in life. The drama has been a resounding success amongst viewers who love the plot as well as cast's stellar performance.

Produced by MD Productions, the serial's cast features Ahmed Ali Akbar, Yumna Zaidi, Nauman Ijaz, Syed Muhammad Ahmed, Urwa Hocane, Saboor Aly, Ushna Shah, Mashal Khan and others.

The final episode will be screened in cinemas nationwide for four days before it airs on television on Tuesday, February 1. The cinema screening is meant to give Parizaad fans a chance to experience the finale on a grand scale. According to HUM TV, shows on the first day of the cinematic screening were sold out in Islamabad and Karachi.

The cast and crew of Parizaad walked the red carpet at the premiere. Here's Akbar and Shah posing for the camera.

We saw Aly on the red carpet as well.

Actor Resham attended the premiere as well.

Parizaad has become popular not just in Pakistan but across border as well. Indian designer Manish Malhotra used the instrumental version of the OST from Parizaad for his clothing campaign in November 2021. The Parizaad house was also put up for sale for a whopping Rs600 million, the news of which went viral on social media.
