Self-care, priorities and zero negativity — what Mehwish Hayat is taking into 2022

The actor wants to take time out with what makes her happy and says negativity and chaos aren't on the list.
Updated 12 Jan, 2022

Actor Mehwish Hayat just celebrated her birthday and she has a few things to say to her followers. Often while starting a new year you have a set of goals to achieve. Hayat too has a list of things she wants to apply to her life in 2022 and that's self-care, to prioritise herself and eliminate signs of negativity and chaos.

Hayat shared a photo of herself with a note to remind everyone what this new year means to her along with gratitude for all of her family, friends, colleagues and fans that took their time to send her birthday messages. "The best birthday gift for me is being reminded of what wonderful friends I have! It really meant a lot to me and made me feel super special," she wrote.

The Load Wedding star also penned a few words about 2022 in general and how it is "the year about prioritising one’s own well being and focussing on self-care."

"We give so much of ourselves to others so we need to be fuelled physically, mentally and spiritually. We have so much more to offer when we are not running on empty. Caring for yourself is not self-indulgent nor selfish but an act of survival. So, for once I will put myself at the top of my to-do list, take time to do what makes my soul happy and I know that the rest will fall into place."

Hayat's note is a reminder to oneself to carry positivity and confidence into the new year.

The 34-year-old ended her post with a quote of her own, " stick with those who pull the magic out of you and not the madness. Life is too big and time is too short to get caught up in negativity and chaos." This is going to be our mantra heading into the new year and ridding ourselves of negativity.

This isn't the first time the actor has shared encouraging messages and positivity boosters on her social media. She recently shared a rendition of Mariah Carey's 'Hero' and said we all have to be our own heroes.

Taking clothes off or wearing very little to expose your body for fake joy and pleasing the western minds in not part of our culture or religion.

@Amir Shah : Yet she received Tamgha e Imtiaz. Its a matter of shame. We have made a mockery of our National Awards.

How we have normalized selfishness as self.care. In good old days celebrity news used to be some act of kindness or selflessness.
