Anushka Sharma pens a loving caption for husband Virat Kohli to celebrate their 'marriage of equals'

The actor posted the wish on her Instagram account for their fourth wedding anniversary.

When it comes to writing heartfelt messages for her husband Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma does not hold back. She's fierce when it comes to standing up for him as she did when he was criticised for defending Indian bowler Muhammad Shami against online abuse. And equally loud when it comes to standing with him, which she's very vocal about in her descriptive anniversary wishes.

"There is no shortcut home," the actor wrote in a caption describing the bond the couple shares. Calling her cricketer husband a source of inspiration and a great listener, Sharma revealed the secret to a "marriage of equals" the two share and it's a sense of security present on both sides.

"May we never stop goofin’ around. I love that about us," she added at the end. She posted multiple pictures including some of the two of them making funny faces — probably what she was referring to when she added the goofing around bit.

The post received an outpouring of love from celebrities such as Arjun Kapoor and Sania Mirza. Kohli also dropped a comment on the post which read, “You are my world.”

He was quick to respond with an affectionate wish of his own. "This day is more special as its our first anniversary as a family," he wrote referring to their 11-month-old daughter, Vamika. He attached a picture of the three of them and reiterated what these four years have meant to him. "You complete me in every way," he said.

Kohli and Sharma kept their wedding plans hush hush and tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy in 2017. It seems that they may have pioneered the path of private celebrity weddings for other Bollywood actors such as Katrina Kaif who followed in their footsteps.

The couple welcomed their daughter in the beginning of 2021.

What a great understanding and love and respect was seen during T20 World Cup between India vs Pakistan match. Virat, Babar, Dhoni, Rizwan and all players on both side greeted eachothers like never before. I want to see all Indians and Pakistanis United again and play cricket, field hockey in New Delhi, Karachi, Mumbai and Lahore. Remember win or lost is always been part of the game in sports, let's just play and enjoy with open heart and smile.
