Save the date: Junaid Safdar's wedding to be held on December 17

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz's son announced the news via his Instagram account.
Updated 27 Nov, 2021

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz's son, Junaid Safdar, is going to be holding a wedding reception on December 17. After a week of speculation, he confirmed the news in an Instagram post.

Earlier, a source close to the family told Images that a valima reception would be held in Lahore in December.

Junaid tied the knot with Ayesha Saif Khan in London in August. Their nikah ceremony was held at The Lanesborough, a swanky hotel in Knightsbridge, but was missing some key guests — Junaid's parents Maryam Nawaz and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar. Their names were on the ECL and Maryam refused to ask the government for special permission to travel abroad.

Ayesha is the daughter of Saifur Rahman Khan, a close confidante of Nawaz Sharif, who was made chairman of the then Ehtesab Bureau during Nawaz's second tenure as prime minister in 1997.

This time, however, the event is going to be held in Lahore. We don't know any other details yet, but we hope Junaid's singing ability makes a comeback, given that he won over the internet with his musical abilities last time around.

Might as well do a wedding in every country on the planet, he's got the money to do it. I am sure Grand daddy gave him a few hundred million dollars as chump change.

As we know the renowned frugality of the Sharifs, it will be a simple affair limited to close family & friends.

In London, probably more than rupees 1.2corore spent and now more will be spent in Lahore when poor are fighting for a daily meal. It will be a blessing, if Mryam would invite thousands of poor instead of hundreds of elite for the reception

No reception more than 20/25 peiple be allowed at airport to avoid corona. They should be induced to 14 days corona treatment at airport, like all ordinary citizens. No political gimmicks. Follow the rules and go home.
