This year's Eid announcement took many of us by surprise because we weren't really prepared for a 29-roza Ramazan. Most people, including Pakistan's celebrities, are now wishing their friends and families an 'achanak (sudden) Eid mubarak.

Many celebrities also remembered Palestine in their prayers and asked people to continue talking about the atrocities being perpetrated against them.

Sonya Hussyn

Sonya Hussyn posted a sweet greeting for her followers, wishing them health and happiness this year.

Hania Aamir

In peak Gen Z behaviour, Hania Aamir posted a story of her announcing Eid, complete with emojis and shouts of joy.

She later posted a video of her all glammed up asking for Mashallahs.

Saba Qamar

Saba Qamar reminded everyone that this is a no-kiss Eid and asked everyone to remember Muslims in Palestine in their prayers.

Nadia Hussain

That went double for Nadia Hussain's Eid message in which she mimicked Firdous Ashiq Awan's special Eid SOPs.

Hira Mani

Hira Mani posted a more casual look, saying this was all she could manage this Eid.

Hadiqa Kiani

Hadiqa Kiani was all glammed up in her Eid post.

Asim Azhar

Asim Azhar's message might not have been long (just a simple Eid Mubarak), but his happy pictures brightened up our day.

Zhalay Sarhadi

Zhalay Sarhadi posted a picture of herself and her daughter Anaya, all dolled up for Eid.

Sarwat Gillani

Sarwat Gillani reminded everyone to keep Palestine and its people in their prayers this Eid.

Saheefa Jabbar Khattak

Saheefa Jabbar Khattak's Eid greeting was far more somber. While she wished everyone a safe and healthy Eid, with patience if they weren’t able to be with their loved ones, she also remembered oppressed Muslims around the world.

"Ramazan has been long, and has asked a lot from all of us. With Covid and all that’s happening in the world right now, celebrating doesn’t feel right," she posted, asking us to band together to end oppression in all forms.

She prayed for oppressed people in Palestine, the Middle East, China, Kashmir and Burma. “May Allah SWT liberate them and give them the strength to keep going, to keep fighting and to never let the light of the truth and goodness leave their hearts.”
