Prince Harry just got his first corporate job

He's now the Chief Impact Officer at a mental health and employee coaching firm.
24 Mar, 2021

Prince Harry has joined the corporate world as employee coaching and mental health firm BetterUp Inc.’s Chief Impact Officer.

The financial terms of his employment were undisclosed.

BetterUp, based in San Francisco, works with employees from companies including Mars, AB InBev and LinkedIn on coaching and mental health services.

BetterUp CEO Alexi Robichaux said the Duke of Sussex is a good fit for the company because of “his model of inspiration and impact through action.”

Robichaux cited Harry’s efforts founding the Invictus Games, which gives sick and injured military personnel and veterans the opportunity to compete in sports, and founding Sentebale, an Africa-based charity supporting young people affected by HIV.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, have been working on detangling their lives from the British royal family and are living in California. They signed a deal to create content for Netflix and are creating podcasts for Spotify.

In a blog post, Harry said he is joining BetterUp because he believes in the company’s mission of being proactive about mental health.

“Being attuned with your mind, and having a support structure around you, are critical to finding your own version of peak performance,” he wrote.

When will the current generation of the family-owned, clan-operated and dynasty-backed political parties of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan will start working by getting a real full-time job by fairly competing in the open, unbiased, neutral, independent, impartial and merit-based market?

Yes, young adults really need support struggling with mental health. I am still in shock how my son passed away with suicide last year. .I wish I knew how mental health gradually takes your precious loved ones away from you. This is a very important topic.

The person was handpicked. Will he be able to pick hands?? We the humble citizens of the common wealth hail and clap while our hands are still stuffed with mud

@Dr. Salaria, Aamir Ahmad Price Harry has said publicly that he had severe mental health problems after his mum's (the late Princess Diana) tragic death. When prominent people, such as Prince Harry, share very personal stories and highlight the importance of not ignoring serious issues such as mental health problems - especially when they are caused by the sudden loss of a parent or loved one - it does have an impact and can inspire others. Because of what he has been through and all the challenges he had to face under the circumstances, it was felt that Prince Harry would be well suited to this position.

Good to know he wants to live in the real world by choice. He and his wife will take steps so that their children are also brought up to earn their own living. This is the real life, meeting the real people, earning an honest living. Good luck Harry, wish you all the very best. I know you will succeed.

It’s gr8 that Harry being from Royal family has disclosed his employment. This proves one thing that your title is not everything but you being able to help in anyway is actual humanity. Mental health is not one person that suffers but the whole family does. This is a job he has been appointed to but not everyone can engage and understand the issue.

Just a PR stunt, he has the right qualifications, he is a Prince and a celebrity, with an added bonus - controversial. What could be a better hire ?
