India's Shashi Tharoor has a request for Pakistani comedian Akbar Chaudhry

He taught us how to speak English like Tharoor, now the politician wants him to mimic PM Imran Khan.

Comedian Akbar Chaudhry's mimicries are so funny that even his subjects find hilarious! Indian politician Shashi Tharoor is a fan and has a request for the Pakistani comic.

After being a total sport and enjoying being the butt of Chaudhry's jokes in a video uploaded on February 25, he has asked the comedian to perform his next skit on Prime Minister Imran Khan.

"Next one on Imran Khan please!?" he posted on Twitter.

In the video, Chaudhry pokes fun at the politician by demonstrating how his followers too can "speak English like Shashi Tharoor”.

He then demonstrates three steps — making a milkshake out of an Oxford dictionary and drinking it, injecting one of the man's interviews in his veins, and later crushing the pages of the dictionary and snorting them.

Akbar told Geo TV that his Indian friends say his video has been circulating in WhatsApp groups in the country and giving our neighbours a couple of laughs.

His subject matter is impeccable — Tharoor is well known in India for his verbiage that often leaves people scratching their heads. His Twitter is a goldmine for people wanting to learn big, often unusable, words.

And the list goes on. Who else do you think Chaudhry should mimic?

Indians made better jokes on tharoor, I opened this story with a lot of expectations. suggesting to make next skit on ik, is not a good idea. It's going to drag his famous Oxford education and Germany border issue. Tharoor definitely hit the nail on its head

Shashi Tharoor is far better than other Indian politicians. Having seen his appearances on BBC he’s impressive. I wish instead of advising Chaudhry Akbar, he should visit Pakistan and help rapport the emerging new friendship. Your books sales will further boost in Pak, though at the moment it’s selling like hot cake. Pakistanis wish to see your new book, suggesting ways & means to have closest normal relationships between India & Pak. Gandhiji & M.A.Jinnah wish to Pak-India, as good neighbors like Canada & USA.

@SHAW S everybody may not agree with his politics but he is very articulate and a brilliant orator. If Congress manages to dump the dynastic politics and puts younger politicians like Tharoor in charge he would certainly revive the party’s future and give it a contemporary outlook.

@RationalBabu well I think he was a bit offended even though he took it with a smile or he wouldn’t have jumped at the first opportunity to advise a comedian from across the border to pick on one of his own. Mr Tharoor could have easily passed a light hearted comment without advising. He certainly has the language skills for it .

Tharoor speaks English that was spoken many decades ago in British Raj time frame, or probably even earlier than that... nobody in England talks like that anymore... somebody needs to tell that to him...

@AnilSahu not at all sir. As I said IK gets mocked all the time in Pakistan. He has a distinct style of speaking just like Mr Tharoor. I was surprised Mr Tharoor could have used this opportunity to pick on one of his own political opponents but he made a tongue in cheek choice. Opportunity missed for him.
