A beaming Bakhtawar shows her intricate and beautiful bridal mehndi

Something to keep us busy while we wait for the main event's photos!
Updated 31 Jan, 2021

We may not know what Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari wore on her mehndi function, who attended the event and other glitzy details, but we do know that the bride was beaming on the day.

Thanks to PPP politician Sharmila Faruqi's Instagram, we have a photo, albeit not of the actual event. Bakhtawar is pictured showing her hands decorated with mehndi alongside a woman who we have a strong feeling is the henna artist.

Earlier, the elder daughter of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari shared a close look of her intricate and beautiful mehndi design (and a simple French manicure) on her Insta story, tagging kulsooms_henna. The bride opted for a traditional design with hints of Sindh's ajrak in it.

Bakhtawar was engaged to Mahmood Chaudhry, the son of a US-based businessman, in November 2020. The couple exchanged rings in an intimate ceremony, which PPP chairperson Bilawal could not attend as he was in self-isolation after testing positive for Covid-19. He had joined the engagement ceremony through video link.

According to PPP sources and spokesperson, Bakhtawar's nikah with Chaudhry will be held on January 29 and the function of baraat will take place the next day (Jan 30).

A milad was held on Jan 24 and a mehndi ceremony on Jan 27.

A brief statement issued by Bilawal House said that some 300 guests are expected at the main function — baraat — due to the standard operating procedures related to Covid-19.

We're keeping our eyes peeled for pictures and hoping the bride who recently celebrated her birthday shares a few snippets herself!

Be careful what you make public or keep private. If you make public for the good, you can't be surprised when you get the bad as well.

@Anti-Corruption Mr. Anti-Corruption, " Bakhtawar should think where the money for her Mehndi came from. " What? Should Ms. Bakhtawar Zardari think? She already know - from corruptions.
