Celebrities in Pakistan have taken to voice their support for the Hazara community, grieving the loss of their loved ones victim to a terrorist attack in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Currently, thousands of mourners belonging to the Shia Hazara community are protesting, with the bodies of slain coal miners, refusing to end their sit-in at the Western Bypass area, despite the chilly harsh weather. Families of the deceased are not ready to bury their loved ones until the arrest of the perpetrators of the heinous crime.

The 11 miners were kidnapped before dawn on Sunday as they slept near the remote coal mine in the mountainous area — 60 kilometres southeast of Quetta. The attack was claimed by the militant Islamic State (IS) group.

According to reports, they were held at gunpoint, blindfolded and trussed up before being executed by unidentified attackers.

Hamza Ali Abbasi was devastated.

"The horrifying tragedy inflicted by a few evil men on the Hazara community is so heartbreaking that all I can tell myself to feel some peace is that GOD IS WATCHING EVERYTHING," he said, making a prayer for the ones who lost their precious lives and those who are mourning them.

"May Allah bless the souls of the victims and give courage to the families," he added.

Sara Loren, too, is distraught by the senseless tragedy.

"Pakistan and Pakistanis first. Who are we to judge really? Why play God?? Heartbroken after reading the news. Standing in solidarity with the beautiful people of Hazara," the actor posted.

Model Mushk Kaleem gave everyone food for thought, as she encouraged people to speak about minority rights and take a look at their own backyard.

"As a member of the media, I request all of you to bring attention to these abuses and intolerable situations," she posted.
