With the year coming to an end, publications are releasing their round-up lists; the most recent one is Hello! Pakistan which has come out with its Hot 100 edition.

And who is the cover star? Ruling party PTI's own Zulfi Bukhari.

A British-Pakistani businessman, he currently serves as the chairman of the National Tourism Coordination Board and as PM’s special assistant on overseas Pakistanis.

"Unveiling the most exciting issue of the year, our Hello HOT 100. Gracing the cover of our most awaited issue of the year is none other than Zulfi Bukhari, who is a rare combo of good looks and diligence," the announcement read.

The politician, in return, thanked the publication.

"Thank you Hello Pakistan for the recognition, feels great to be honoured for efforts for Pakistan," he tweeted.

In his interview with the magazine, he didn't beat around the bush about what — or who, to be specific — piqued his interest in politics. "I was always involved in politics along with my family in some way or the other in both Pakistan and abroad but like so many other overseas Pakistanis my inspiration to join was PM Khan."

For him, the slogan ‘Naya Pakistan’ will forever be associated with Prime Minister Imran Khan. "With Imran Khan comes transparency, trust and honesty and that is hallmark, let it be politics or philanthropy," he was quoted as saying.

Which show is the busy man watching? The Undoing at the moment.

When asked about who he follows on social media, he cheekily answered Umar Akmal "for a few good laughs" and US President Donald Trump. He also mentioned PML-N's Maryam Nawaz, saying "she has proven to be our most valuable player by always landing herself in trouble with the use of social media".

Well, that one's answer we didn't expect.

In pre-election era Imran Khan was big on merit; in days in power he is busy in returning favors to his friends; ZB fall in this category.

British person with Pakistani roots serving a government official and our PMIKs special assistant. What is this nonsense? We are 225 million people. It should not be possible for foreign nationality holders to serve Pakistani government office. Can I serve in the UK Parliament on my passport? Or the Jordanian? Or the Afghan? Or Brazilian? Or Sierra Leonese? No.
