Esra Bilgic finally got sick of desi men moral policing her and clapped back

"Let me give you a little advice: Don't follow me. Thank you."
Updated 02 Sep, 2020

The sultana has spoken.

Watching desi trolls moral police and shame Esra Bilgic for a while now has been infuriating. Forget about being a nuisance to the women of this country, they've gone international!

Bilgic, who has graciously been silent for a long time now, has finally clapped back — and we're so here for it.

When a user commented on one of her photos "Please don't wear such dresses Halima baji, not good," referring to her character from Dirilis Ertugrul, the actor had just about had enough.

A photo posted by Instagram (@instagram) on

Responding to the comment, Esra wrote: "Let me give you a little advice: Don't follow me. Thank you."

We can't believe we have to say this but repeat after us slowly: Esra Bilgic is Halime Sultan in reel life, not real life. That said, she IS a queen in both!

Our fellow country man must understand that Ms Esra has played role as per story requirement. please do focus on role instead of infiltrating in others personal life.

I don't understand why people interfere in someone's personal life. Esra is free to wear whatever she wants. Everyone is accountable for their own deeds. Please stop judging Esra. In addition if it is that important for someone to judge, then what about the dressing of individuals in our own country's showbiz?

She is Turkish. In may ways many Turks are liberal despite being Sunni Muslims. Alcoholic beverages are freely available and many night clubs exist openly and are frequented by men and women alike unlike in Pakistan.

@Brownflower dress is a personal choice therefore even in Pakistan ,men should not opine what any woman wears. Men will go in their own grave-not in the grave of a woman, they are criticising or condemning. But in Pakistan, seems men think they will be in-charge of women even in their graves.
