Powerpuff Girls set to fly again in live-action series

The superheroes are now disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime fighting.

The Powerpuff Girls is the latest cartoon to get the live-action treatment.

According to Variety, a reboot of the Cartoon Network classic in the works at The CW.

In the original Powerpuff Girls, created by Craig McCracken, we saw Professor Utonium accidentally create the elementary school aged super trio of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup by combining sugar, spice, and everything nice (with a dash of the mysterious Chemical X).

In the new series, the girls are now young women, who harbour resentment over the fact that they lost their childhood to a life of fighting crime. Now that the world needs them more than ever, will they pick up their capes again and reunite?

Powerpuff Girls ran for six seasons and 78 episodes between 1998 and 2005; a rebooted animated series began airing on Cartoon Network in 2016.

I am familiar since my kid was a fan but how many in Pakistan know about it and will get to know the essence of what is being communicated here?

I am 30 year-old guy and I have no shame in saying that I would love to see Powerpuff Girls back in action. I want my childhood back!!
