When we think of popular names in the content creation ecosystem online, despite boastful of its talent, Pakistan seems like a country left behind.

This may be due to the fact that YouTube, the hub of global video sharing, was banned in the country for a good number of years.

With news surfacing that the authorities are putting the ban again, people are vocal that it is a step back from the little progression our videographers, vloggers and even common people have made from the vast edutainment available one click away.

Some believe our priorities aren't right

The boy who was learning Arabic does not sound pleased

Neither does the startup blogger

Or the entire generation, apparently

Even the Twitter trolls are out for this one

Girl, same!

Why can't our cyber control authorities install a filter on YouTube contents like they installed on all pornographic and intolerant religious websites?

But YouTube isn't ready to block some of its content which is objectionable to parents and society as a whole. They are taking it as take it or leave it approach. Where to draw the line?

Everyone must feel safe to express his/her views, There should be such thing as censorship, Individuals must have right to define morality for themselves. These three thing can make or break the society and a nation as an outcome.

There should be some control over content. The article chose to show the better side of YouTube. What content is being consumed mostly in Pakistan; is that educational in nature?

Please do not put Pakistan in same league as North Korea ,Myanmar and such totalitarian countries. It would be a step backwards and cause of embarrassment in front of the whole world . Independent thinking is everyone's right.
