Pixar story artist Rob Gibbs dies at 55

The writer and animator is known for many of Pixar's iconic works such as Finding Nemo and Toy Story 2.

Story artist, writer and director of many Pixar projects Rob Gibbs has passed awa. He was 55.

A company spokesman confirmed the tragic news, although cause of death has not yet been revealed.

Gibbs has contributed to many Pixar films, from Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo to Up, Wall-E, Inside Out and the latest offering Onward.

Before joining Pixar in 1998 he worked on several notable films such as FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992), Cool World (1992) and Disney's Pocahontas (1995) and Fantasia 2000 (1999).

Rob Gibbs is survived by daughter Mary, who voiced Boo in Monsters Inc.
