Rekha Bhardwaj will be going live tonight for her Pakistani fans

Legendary filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and author Shaheen Bhatt will also join Salman Sufi's #LetsTalk campaign

With an extended lockdown and growing concerns regarding the coronavirus, individuals are making sure to distract themselves from all the upsetting news coming their way.

While some are resorting to learning new recipes, DIY masks, or maybe even just watching Netflix or playing online games, there are others who are making sure people around them are well-entertained.

One such initiative is taken by the Salman Sufi Foundation with a campaign called #LetsTalk, that aims to unite artists from all over the subcontinent. It gives the audience the opportunity to experience live music and counselling sessions from the comfort of their homes.

Following this launch, veteran actor Rekha Bhardwaj took to Twitter to inform her fans in both India and Pakistan that she will be performing live for her fans on both sides of the border.

“Join me this Saturday, April 11, at 9:30 pm India time and 9:00 pm Pakistan time for a melodious night and a fun talk live at the Salman Sufi foundation Instagram,” she posted.

According to the schedule, her session will be followed by iconic filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and his daughter Shaheen Bhatt tomorrow, who recently authored her book I've Never Been (Un)happier in an attempt to voice her struggles and create mental health awareness.

If you have nowhere to go this weekend, sit back and let the entertainment come to you at home.

She is a great artist. Such programs should be welcomed. However, with virus going around, is this the right time to have a live gathering?
