Mean Girls fans! Time to bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles!

The 2004 iconic film is finally getting a reboot but it's not as simple as you may think as the upcoming film will be an adaptation of the Broadway musical Mean Girls... which is based on the original Mean Girls... It's adapta-ception... So fetch!

Tina Fey, who was behind both the film and the musical, will be writing this version as well. The writer told The Wrap, "I’m very excited to bring ‘Mean Girls’ back to the big screen. It’s been incredibly gratifying to see how much the movie and the musical have meant to audiences. I’ve spent sixteen years with these characters now. They are my Marvel Universe and I love them dearly."

Mean Girls originally starred Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams who we're hoping will at least make a cameo in the new flick. Knowing Mean girls fans, no one would mind the whole cast reprising their roles even though it's been 16 years.

There is no release date for the movie as of yet but we have our pink outfits ready just in case it's a Wednesday!
