Mulan is out to bring honour to her family in reboot's latest trailer

The upcoming film moves in a different direction from the animated flick but that's what makes it work.

The long awaited live-action Mulan trailer has finally been released and we couldn't be more excited.

We are all familiar with the main premise of the story but the trailer shows us that a lot has been changed, for the better.

Mulan (played by Yifei Liu) has the same journey as in the original Disney movie we all grew up with. However, the situation is different in that the characters around her are not the same but seem to add more value to her story.

While this film is not a musical - which we don't mind as it has a more serious tone - it seems to carry the original's soundtrack as the score. While many have opposed this film for moving much further away from the animated flick, we like it for that very reason as it aims to stay truer to the original lore and also, we're sick of word-to-word reboots anyways.

What really impressed us are the visuals and war choreography, and while we're aware of the main storyline, we are still left wanting more.

Mulan is set to release in March 27, 2020.
