Amitabh Bachchan's Twitter account was apparently hacked and it tweeted 'love Pakistan'

The Indian celeb's Twitter account was updated with a picture of Pakistani PM Imran Khan

Last night Bollywood celebrity Amitabh Bachchan's Twitter account looked like it had been hacked as the actor suddenly updated his profile picture to a photo of Pakistani PM Imran Khan.

Bachchan is no small fry on Twitter: he has 37.4 million followers, so in no time at all commentators started speculating about what could have gone wrong.

Although Bachchan has issued no official statement on the matter and has not confirmed whether the account was hacked. However, shortly after the actors profile picture was updated he tweeted 'Love Pakistan' along with a picture of Imran Khan.

Another tweet read, “The Indian State, who mercilessly attacks the Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan, is attacking the Ummah Muhammad in this age! Indian Muslims are entrusted to us by Abdulhamid.”

Yet another tweet read "This is an important call to the whole world! We do condemn the irrespective behaviors of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers. We speak softly but carry a big stick and inform you about the big Cyber attack here. As Ayyıldız Tim Turkish Cyber Armny +++”, causing people to believe that the hacking was initiated by Turkish hackers.

According to the Hindu, Mumbai Police have initiated inquiries into the alleged hacking.

Predictably, Pakistani Twitter used the opportunity for some laughs. As part of a running joke, some suggested that Adnan Sami was behind the hacking.

We hope Bachchan chooses a stronger password next time!

These type of activities add to negative image of Pakistan. I am wondering why Pakistanis continue to do so! Why not go for usual hard work, honesty etc. etc. to make their country better?

Pakistanis desperately attempting to cleanup their current image superficially without wanting to take any pain to really solve the underlying issues. Actions speak louder than words.

Good job Pakistani hackers posing as Turkish. You made by day with online hacks on Amitabh Bachan and Adnan Sami profile. Some comic relief in dire state of economy.

I am not sure if these kind of hacking activities do anything to add to a positive image for Pakistan.

Funny that most Turkish dramas are banned in Pakistan because they're immoral and show progressive women.

@Saqib Ihsan Give me one reason why Turks would hack Indian celebrities and post pro Pakistani messages? just one? You must think before you speak. We have a bad habit of always blaming others, when it is clear that only we have the motivation do pull off something like this. Turks have nothing to do with this.
