Nasir Khan Jan doesn't need you to correct his English

The social media sensation has been keeping it savage on his Twitter account and we wouldn't expect anything less!
10 Jun, 2019

Hasn't Nasir Khan Jan been cyber-bullied enough already?

We have to say though, no matter what the trolls throw at him, Nasir always seems to come out on top whether it's his unshakable sense of self or his savage comebacks.

Like this recent tweet of his in which he's so done with grammar nazis:

He says he doesn't need an English teacher because the folks on Twitter and Facebook are always there to correct his grammar or spell-check on his behalf. We're guessing this is about his tweet in which he's telling people to "follow him as soon ass possible" (clearly a typo!).

Also read: Nasir Khan Jan opens up about being bullied on morning show, asks hosts to respect guests

Oh well, it doesn't seem like Khan Jan's too fazed by all of this; he's out there living is best life!

Seriously, go follow him on Twitter!

Considering we used to be colonized by the UK it is amazing our English skills are poor. We use expression no native English speaker uses. Such as ".... my foot", "worry not" or "mind it!!" we don't understand the basic Grammer or how to form simple sentences. It is not "from where you are?" but "where are you from". Many countries were colonized by western countries. Such as Morocco, Algeria by France, but they speak perfect French as a result . Why don't we speak perfect English? Also I don't understand, why we have this accent, which is not British. I don't know but it has always irked me.

I am not a narcissistic, but i must say that these people wasting their precious life making fun of themselves. Instead of earning money by being laughing stock, they should start some work. Their comedy and choice of genre is below ethical and moral line.

I love Nasir khan jan videos. He is a great entertainer than most professional artists. This great person is so down to earth and mind his own business even though people are abusing him left and right. I request people of Pakistan to give him some space he is a human being just like us. He is not hiding anything unlike us. There are worst people who have done horrible things. Nasir Khan jan is a open book.

@Haider that's your opinion but you can not define the "ethical" or "moral" line for an entire population. Its upto him how he wants to earn his money and spend his time. Nobody forces you to follow/watch him.

Should encourage everybody in learning languages rather criticizing them. Learn from mistakes that should be the practice in learning any good thing. No body should be ashamed of learning. Conquer the world thru knowledge.

@Laila Your comment is replete with errors. For example: grammar, not grammer. One can at least partially agree with you.

@Laila English is our least problem. We are bad in science and technology. Still missing Basic common sense . Unfortunately in sub continent Good or bad English is the only criteria for human intelligence.

@Laila We live in a country where we speak languages which are imposed on us by others such as English and Urdu. They are not our native languages and I feel no shame if I make mistakes in either of them since they are not my mother tongue. North Africans make a lot of mistakes in French if you ask any Frenchman. Incidentally, you spelled Grammar wrong so I take it your English isn't the greatest either !

@Laila یورپ کی غلامی پر رضا مند ہوا تو مجھہ کو تو گلہ تجھہ سے ہے یورپ سے نہیں ہے Once you learn the meaning of this couplet of Iqbal you will know that people of the subcontinent never presented themselves as the subjects to the British Empire. The souls of the masses could not be enslaved but a few you. People in general never accepted the supremacy of the British for very obvious historic reasons. On the other hand, the nations you have mentioned were scratched and totally restructured.

@Haider the world is changing. People don't have to follow your code of morals and ethics. They can make their own choices.

@Ali Replete with error is a bit harsh. But I can't work out my tablet. The settings. It changes my spelling too at times. In reality I am savvy with languages and multilingual. But yeahI gave up on correcting the errors and just send off the comments nowadays.

@Saeeds I agree. We are indeed lagging behind in important fields and absent in global arts. Most Pakistanis are known to be academically strong. But the language thing I don't understand. When Algeria, Moroccans and Tunisians master perfect French post colonization we should master English too. Our accen just messes things up further. English is a gateway in the modern world especially when you travel or migrate. I love speaking speaking different languages and now teaching myself a new language. It's hard but would benefit me in future. But I guess our main hurdle is our outdated and regressive educational system. A system still not available to the masses and illiteracy rate in Pakistan is still high. I find it interesting that in wartorn Palestine the literacy rate for people is 80% and Gaza apparently has a really effective and well mobilized health care system. Why don't we?

@Laila Pakistan or Punjab was the last part of the be conquered by British during their invasion of the sub continent. Not every family was educated in an English medium school or prefered to learn English because of animosity of British towards the Muslims. Persian and then urdu was the court language. I dont understand why Pakistani people are obsessed with English. Most people prefer their own language and take pride in their own culture, especially in Europe. English just happens to be international language because British empire conquered a lot of countries and exploited them. Its just a tragedy that English is an international language. There is no harm in learning it and using it for better communication and research. But expecting every one to be fluent in English is a weird concept and people learn by making mistakes. So we should encourage each other rather than making fun and taking pride in English.
