After actors, directors and music composers have had their say about the 2019 film and TV nominations of the Lux Style Awards, designer Maheen Khan is the first to call out the fashion noms.

Taking to Twitter, Maheen Khan expressed her frustration at not being able to understand the criteria for nomination:
She added that she believed that the nominations are based on popularity and "[credence] should be given [for] talent whether they are commercially successful or not."
She said that the LSAs need to be more transparent for a platform of its stature:
