Lux Style Awards 2019 nominations are out!

Lux Style Awards 2019 nominations are out!

Mehwish Hayat or Aamina Sheikh, who will win Best Actress at LSA 2019?
Updated 01 Apr, 2019

Award season is officially a go in Pakistan with the announcement of the Lux Style Award 2019 nominations today.

The Lux Style Awards honours the work of industry members in the fields of fashion, film, TV and music every year. In the upcoming show, we will see a few new awards being given in the Film and TV categories, including Best Actor Film (Critics), Best Actress Film (Critics), Best Actor TV (Critics) and Best Actress TV (Critics). The new awards' introduction appears to be in response to earlier criticism about actors winning LSA awards for their popularity rather than performance.

Another new set of awards in the TV category is Best Emerging Talent in Television to acknowledge the new talent entering the field.

Nine of the 24 awards are decided by viewer's choice, for which online voting will begin next week.

Surprised to be see not even one song of Teefa in Trouble nominated when it was arguably the best film soundtrack of the year. Sould have been a separate nomination for best film soundtrack. Does not make sense when u have best playback singer only on its own.

They needs to add the catagory of best supporting actor and actress! Ahmed Ali Bhatt ,does not fit the best actor ,because he was not the leading male lead ?

Angan was the best of the best and brought back good old days of Pakistani dramas. All actors and actresses were not doing acting at all...so real...

does lux have something against Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Ali? Though Aangan should be for next year's Lux, but if it was included then the two leads should have been included for acting categories. Sajal Ali's acting is beyond good in that drama as Chammi. These two were not included last year for Yakeen Ka Safar eventhough the acting was excellent

@annie It's the ARY Aangan, genius. And both actors are pathetic in their show, it'd be nepotism if they won.

Samina Ahmed as Zaitoon Bano, Irsa Gazal as Hajra Bhabhi and Waseem Abbas as Allauddin were also great in Aangan. Angan should have been in the list of best dramas. It was a treat.

It's a pity that Angaan is not selected in more categories. The story line, the acting the characters were all beyond may be what Lux style awards could fathom. ....sad. ....

Well most of the things seem to be right and Lux this time has tried to be as much credible these awards could be but there are still huge misses.. First of all for films Mahira Khan didi deserve a nominee for 7DMI because we all know how much acclaim she got for her role as Neeli (despite the film being a sleeper hit and film in reality a mixed baggage).
