Bryan Singer's next was a film on comic book series Red Sonja.

However, looks like Singer's future with the film is looking bleak as Millennium Films has put the action flick on hold amid controversy. The X-Men director has been accused of sexually assaulting minors in an exposé published by The Atlantic.

The publication conducted a 12-month investigation which detailed the stories of four victims who claimed they were molested by the directer when they were underage. Three of the men spoke under anonymity. In a statement issued through Singer's attorney, he claimed this to be a “homophobic smear piece that he said was 'conveniently timed' to take advantage of the success of Bohemian Rhapsody."

Millennium Films CEO Avi Lerner had released a controversial statement earlier, saying, "The over $800 million Bohemian Rhapsody has grossed, making it the highest grossing drama in film history, is testament to his remarkable vision and acumen. I know the difference between agenda driven fake news and reality, and I am very comfortable with this decision. In America people are innocent until proven otherwise."

After drawing much ire on the statement, he went on to say, "I don't want to apologise. I just want to clarify [the statement]," Lerner told THR last month. "I think victims should be heard and this allegation should be taken very, very seriously. I just don't agree to judge by the Twitter. I want [the accused] to be judged by the court."

Bryan Singer had been fired during Bohemian Rhapsody on a claim of creative differences. His award nomination for the film was also withdrawn by GLAAD while Time's Up released a statement saying those who hire abusers, "perpetuate a broken system that rewards powerful people and allows them to act without consequence."

Red Sonja is a Marvel character based in the same universe as Conan the Barbarian. If you ask us, there are many directors capable of handling a red Sonja film. Perhaps they could take the Wonder Woman route and hire a woman for the job.

Red Sonja? Sounds boring. Producers need their own ideas.

There was a documentary released around 2014 "An Open Secret", extremely painful and depressing to watch. In it, there were clearly questionable allegations against Bryan Singer and the other lot active in Hollywood. Do not know why it took so long for people to realize that the guy was upto no good.
