The Royal Wedding was cool and all and sure, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding was a blast but let's be honest, #DeepVeerKiShaadi was on a whole other level.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone recently tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Villa del Balbianello resort in Lake Como, Italy; in his latest interview with Filmfare, Singh has opened up about his relationship with Padukone and how he'd been itching to get married for a while.

Talking about how he's prepping to be a husband now, the actor shares, "I’ve been ready for a while. I was just waiting for Deepika to be ready. It would happen whenever she had decided. I was fully ready and raring to go. Six months into the relationship, I knew she was the one. I nurtured the relationship accordingly. It’s been six years now. She’s too good, too lovely. She’s a force of nature. I understood that almost immediately."

The reason the duo chose Lake Como as the location for their dream wedding was simply because that's what Padukone wanted.

"Whatever she wished, I wanted her to have it. That’s the first step in being the husband of the millennium. Whatever her vision of getting married, I wanted her to realise it. Whatever she wanted, it was done exactly in that manner. She deserves every bit of it. I too deserve happiness and my happiness comes from her happiness. It’s that simple," he shared.

When told that she's lucky to have him, he was quick to say he's the lucky one: "I don’t think about these things. I’m lucky to have her. I knew all too well that this is the woman I’m going to marry. This is the woman who would become the mother of my children. I’ve been thinking about marriage seriously for almost three years now. I was just waiting, I told her the minute you say so, we’ll do it."

PRIYANKA Chopra won’t be so lucky. After fetching few million dollars from Nick, it would all be over. The age and culture difference will make all the difference. Deepika and Ranveer will remain a perfect happy and joyful family full of life.

@Dipak Faulty assumptions. Priyanka Chopra's net worth is more than Nick Jonas.

@Dipak There is no cultural difference. Priyanka was brought up in US and has more wealth then Nick Jonas. She doesnt need his money, when shes twice richer than him.

@Dipak : what a terrible thing to say. If you can’t wish Priyanka the very best in her marital journey, please keep your negative opinions to yourself. Deepika and Priyanka are two of the world’s most beautiful and glamorous women; we in Pakistan take pride in their achievements and are immensely happy that talent and beauty from our part of the world is finally being appreciated in an often Eurocentric glamor industry. Don’t be the typical desi with a “crab” mentality - cannot see other desis succeed if it ain’t yourself.

So only men need to take notes? Why?Is it only a mans job to make a marriage work?Marriage is a two way relationship friend. One sided effort will never work. The day people (men AND women) start understanding this their married life will become a whole lot better.
