King of the Jungle is an upcoming dark comedy about the life of tech tycoon, John McAfee (yep, the guy behind the McAfee Antivirus software).

According to Variety, Michael Keaton has been roped in to play McAfee and Seth Rogen will play investigator Ari Furman, who "accepts what he thinks is a run-of-the-mill assignment to interview McAfee, but once he arrives in Belize, he finds himself pulled into McAfee’s escalating paranoia, slippery reality, and murder."

The movie is based on Joshua David's 2012 Wired article, “John McAfee’s Last Stand" which shed light on McAfee’s bizarre lifestyle after he took off to a jungle in Belize with all his fortune in 2009. It also chornicles the day that the police landed up at McAfee’s mansion to question him in the murder case. The entrepreneur has denied involvement in the murder and fled to Guatemala after the police sought to investigate him, later returning to the United States.

Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, (Crazy, Stupid, Love, This Is Us, I Love You Phillip Morris), are the directors while Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (American Crime Story) are scripting the film. It all sounds almost too wild to be real but it is and we're anxious to see how the team is going to bring it to life onscreen.
