Ahad covered 'Ko Ko Korina' with Momina Mustehsan in the final episode of Coke Studio and reactions have been brutal

Coke Studio released their final episode yesterday, which happened to mark the debut of beloved actor Ahad Raza Mir on the platform.

The Parwaaz Hai Junoon actor launched his singer self with a cover of '60s track 'Ko Ko Korina' along with Momina Mustehsan. A gutsy move, considering how iconic the track is, ever been to a mehndi where this wasn't sung? Neither have we. But Coke Studio was confident in their cover, claiming "This Ko Ko Korina remix by Coke Studio will also be one of the top Pakistani songs of 2018 and will become a famous Ahad Raza Mir song."

It didn't go so well.

Looks like Pakistan did not quite enjoy their rendition of the track and Twitter has proof. Lots of it.

Coke studio is no more about doing innovative things giving platform to obscure but talented singers. Now it seems anyone who is popular and has a good PR gets a chance to launch themselves via Coke Studio

What exactly happened is they are trying do experiment like Bollywood music industry and failed miserably. Older versions were far pure and soothing. For example "tum naraj ho" by Sajjad khan.

What was Ahad Raza Mir thinking? This timeless melody was ruined solely by him. He was just acting like a singer. He needs serious training in singing. The notes were off and he simply couldn't sing the low notes. Why don't CS producers take auditions? Why do we have this actor-turned-singer culture in Pakistan. It was the same with Mehwish Hayat, her singing was much below average compared to the trained singers on CS.

I guess I’m the minority that liked it! I don’t get the hate. It was fresh and different. Whether under rohail, strings or Ali hamza....each have their own unique style. I’ve enjoyed all seasons of coke studio!

Ali Zafar and Komal Rizvi were supposed to sing Ko Ko Korina.Make me the producer of Coke Studio,I can produce better fusion songs from them,i.e. a duet between Atif Aslam and Naseebo Lal.

This fiasco summarizes the dismal season 11 as it tried' experimental' music with no concrete vision of what it would entail. Makes me respect Rohail Hayat even more.
