Veer Di Wedding star blasts Twitter user for attacking Kareena Kapoor

The Twitter user tried to shame Kareena Kapoor Khan for marrying a Muslim and naming her son Taimur
Updated 28 May, 2018

First Sania Mirza and now Kareena Kapoor Khan, looks like Twitter has become grounds for all sorts of Pakistan-India hate speech.

Recently, Kareena Kapoor's picture holding a placard in support of the 8-year-old girl raped and murdered in India, made rounds on social media. One Twitter user replied to the picture by shaming her for marrying Saif Ali Khan, a Muslim, and naming her son Taimur, who shares the name with a Turco-Mongol conqueror.

"She should be ashamed of the fact that despite being a Hindu is married to a Muslim. Has a child with him and named him Taimur, after a brutal Islamic barbarian," he wrote.

But Kareena, who is not on social media, need not worry (and we're pretty sure she doesn't care) as her Veer Di Wedding co-star Swara Bhasker had her back and blasted the Twitter user for his hate speech.

She responded: You should be ashamed you exist. That God gave you a brain which you chose to fill with hate and a mouth you chose to spew filth from. You are a shame on India and Hindus. That sh*ts like you feel emboldened to talk this crap publicly is this govt.’s legacy.

That's a nice clap back. Let's stand up against hate and drown all such negativity.

Very cheap tweet that I along with vast majority of people condemn such disgraceful comments and mindsets. This is not acceptable in a well established democracy and regarded as, discrimination and personal act on individual's rights!

No one of us were alive 600 years ago. Religious based hate tore India apart in 1947 and resulted in millions of dead people. Indians have learnt nothing from recent history.

Bollywood celebrities are a big hypocrite. On one hand they are showing play cards for Aasifa's rape but on other hand they are avoiding rape incidents at Sasaram and Assam. Isn't it hypocrisy ? Rape is rape and accused must be hanged irrespective of caste and religion, but these actor actress are choosing one specific religion to mourn on. Why ?

@India Absolutely agree with your comments, should not be biased, a rape is a rape wherever, and needs to be condemned
