Pakistanis cannot handle Nawaz Sharif's life ban from Parliament

Pakistanis cannot handle Nawaz Sharif's life ban from Parliament

If you saw Twitter reactions to the SC ruling, you'd be quite amused
13 Apr, 2018

In a historic verdict, Nawaz Sharid has been disqualified from the Parliament.

The PML-N party head has been given the ruling by a five-judge Supreme Court bench in the Panama Papers case. He has joined, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen on the list, who was disqualified on Dec 15 last year under the same provision.

The ruling effectively bans him from Parliament i.e. standing for the elections for life. Phew that’s a lot to take in for PML-N supporters!

Some rubbed salt on his wounds

But supporters were quick to come out with a Twitter hashtag in Nawaz's defense... #YouCanNeverMinusNawaz

Brb while we try to figure out what it means...

Because social justice protests are the same as political protests...

Did he mean King Julian in the making?

We sense new Grumpy Cat memes coming our way soon

This seems like a lot of math for us. Minus, delete, plus. what's next Esc?

That's true for sure. He's here to stay... on Twitter.

All are baffled by a question as what type of politicians Pakistan needs. The one who works hard for better life of Pakistanis (clean water, medical hospitals, children's education, clean city streets, highways and playgrounds), or the ones who starts making making money, sugar mills and properties as soon as he gets in the office. Sooner or later Pakistanis would need to make up their mind what they want for their country.

What goes around comes around. Those who are gloating now will regret when the same spurious standard will disqualify them for life.

No one will accept what has been happening with one of the most popular leaders of Pakistan, NS or the way he has been treated at the pretext of justice. He will reemerge with more power and support in the upcoming elections InnShaAllah!

@Concerned He didn’t make nuclear bomb, it was his duty as PM to conduct nuclear tests at a hard time. Yes he made motorways and we use it but that was taxpayers money, not his own. And you know what he received from this country? Billions if not more. He was elected to serve, not to rule.

No current politician of Pakistan qualifies as a leader and Nawaz Sharif is definitely not one, Zardari is also another one who is absolutely not a leader. Such corrupt politicians whether these two or their cronies must always be brought to justice if wrong is suspected. No one should be granted an elite status and given the notion that they are above the law. The decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan must be respected, honored and implemented to the full extent. When an elected representational commits a crime, does something wrong, evades taxes, their children violating Laws and roaming free , then it affects the 220 million people and that is why rule of law must stand firm. We should not worship personalities but what they have accomplished,,,

Hand on heart, does anyone out there in the galaxy really believe that nawaz was never involved in any corruption in all these years, or that he never benefited from it.

A salute to Pak judiciary....your lordship such a judgment would never have been passed in the neighboring country against a PM or even a Minister. However it will not stop Mariam from becoming PM.- yet the Lordship deserves to be commended along with is brother colleagues.

I think its very fair that he is disqualified and should stop crying and accept the end of his political career. Moreover, since the Supreme Court has given their verdict, its time that their defeat needs to be accepted and one should stop with the slogans challenging the court. P.s: he has done good for entire Lahore and has built a fortune for himself, i think he just forgot any other city that existed in Pakistan #EndOfNawaz
