Shehzad Roy's track 'Kya Darta Hai' has been reimagined as the #MeinBhi anthem, which debuted at the Lux Style Awards and now has officially launched as the campaign song at a private event yesterday.

The song was created by a 40-piece orchestra, Faith Studio, and over 32 musicians including Shehzad Roy, Kashmir Band, Fuzon, Natasha Baig, Pindi Boys, Abu Muhammad, Shani Hyder, Lyari Underground, Humaira Channa, Fareed Qawal, Mikki Murshed, Zoe Viccaji, Rachel Viccaji, Aima Baig, Mohsin Abbas, Gohar Rasheed, Sanam Marvi, Amanat Ali, Fakhir, Ali Gul Pir, Fareeduddin and Raziuddin Ahmed.

Listen to it here:

The #MeinBhi campaign was launched in response to Zainab's tragic rape and murder in January, which compelled Pakistan to acknowledge that child abuse is a rampant issue that can no longer be ignored.

The song, which reportedly was sung pro bono by all the artistes involved, is a free-for-all and can be used for any human rights campaign.

Nice. And I will say again that the govt and police only took action after the common people of Kasur held a protect demonstration in front of the police station in the area where the little girl Zainab was killed. And the police shot dead two of the brave demonstrators in cold blood and only then did the Punjab government take any real action to catch the culprit.
