Even Bill Gates has a list of things he looked back on this year and one of them is a Bollywood film.

The Microsoft Corporation co-founder posted a list of eight things on Twitter which served as inspiration for him, including Akshay Kumar's Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

Gates went down memory lane and wrote: There’s no denying that 2017 was a really tough year... but it also delivered some amazing moments of hope and progress. Here are some inspiring tweets that you may have missed…

He retweeted the Bollywood actor's film and shared other moments from this year which were monumental for him; like Edwardo Sanchez becoming the first person from his family to complete university, and WHO certifying that Bhutan and Maldives had eliminated measles.

Though he terms 2017 as a 'tough year', Gates is 'hopeful' for the coming year. "These tweets made me feel better about 2017 and more optimistic about the new year. I hope they make you feel more hopeful, too," he tweeted.
