Talent must run in the Zafar family.

Ali Zafar's younger brother, Danyal Zafar is gearing up for his Coke Studio debut and is all set to perform two songs on the Pakistani musical series that'll be of the soft/pop rock and blues genre.

He's going to perform a duet with Momina Mustehsan and will feature as an instrumental artist for his second track.

In a press release shared with Images, it was revealed that Zafar chose Coke Studio because "it's the biggest platform in the country to make a debut as it helps you reach out to millions of people through your music."

But more importantly, "it was the main song he was to perform, that clicked with him. It was right up his alley and something that would help him express himself better as an artist. It was an instant decision to launch himself because for him, it all comes down to the music that defines him the best."

Zafar is currently working on his debut album and also serving as a music director for his brother's upcoming film, Teefa in Trouble.

Congratulations on making it to Coke Studio, as we all know its so hard for up and coming new singers to get noticed. Shame Kangana Ranaut doesn't make comments about Pakistan Coke Studio.

Coke Studio for me is like a ball rolling down the hill. At the start, we were lucky to hear good music by Proven Artist who gave so much to Music Industry. But now it is overtaken by Parchi Artist. Do not take me wrong here but what hits Mommina gave that she is getting so much limelight? And Danyal Zafar Seriously? Even his FB fan page was created a few days back just after CS announcement. For me, Nescafe Basement is much better, sadly it didn't come last year hopefully it will come this year.

Parchi on its peak, rather they hunt new and raw talent from Pak and provide opportunities for new artists, it become so cheap and advertising add for rich and relatives of celebrities...shameful

First chance to be in a rich family and then talents are needed to be successful in Pakistan. There are hundreds of good looking singers in our country and just need a chance.

No it's not talent, it's a nepotism running in every field. What makes him so popular barred Ali Zafar's brother that he is allowed to participate in most renowned music show? Nepotism debate is being started in Bollywood and it needs to be started in pakistan music and film and drama industry as well. Finding a raw talent and let this talent find its way are two important steps to be followed to find a real gem in this music and drama industry but what we are seeing is the nepotism.

@Parchi STUDIO "what hits Mommina gave that she is getting so much limelight?" well her two songs from the last year Coke Studio to date are the highest viewed videos of Coke Studios. Her song "Afreen" with Rahat Fateh Ali so far has received 78 million views (7crore, 80 lakh) While "Tera Woh Pyar" with Asim Azhar has received 46 million views(4 crore, 60 lakh) which is way more than combining all the seasons of CS. Also Nescafe Basement was aired last year too.

"Zafar chose Coke Studio because "it's the biggest platform in the country". I thought Coke Studio chooses talented people to showcase their talent.

He might be a good talent but the question arises about the talent who don't have "links" in the industry. If the motive behind this program is to encourage talent then, people from all over the country should be given chances on equality.

@alex hits on You Tube count for nothing. Just look at Angel by Taher Shah.
