Leading up to Pakistan and India's final match at the ICC Champions Trophy, Rishi Kapoor was super vocal on social media as he supported the Indian team.

Of course, patriotism was at an all-time high on both sides of the border, and let's just say Pakistanis were not amused by the Bollywood star's tweets. During the match last night, when it was clear Pakistan was going to win... Pakistanis on Twitter made sure Kapoor heard from them.

Oh well, at least he's a good sport... sort of

Rishi our thoughts were very positive about you in the past, because that time the media was not too much strong days like a present era and since the media penetrated inside the street allover the world and we came to know actual faces of the people. Probably you are lost the love which we were having for you, Now some kind of feeling compelled us to change our mind.

Still a strong taste of saltiness. Rishi ji, I still love you. You are a patriotic person, which is no crime. Your team is World's best team and you are right to support them. But we Pakistanis still love you because your forefathers were born in areas of Pakistan and at least I consider you as one of us.

National passions run high during Pak-India matches but we should have taken Rishi's tweets in a lighter vein. He is a sweet person and has always otherwise expressed positive views about Pakistan. Also starred in his father's movie Henna which in 1989 became the first movie to star a Pakistan actor.

As a Pakistani my respect for Rishshi Kapoor has grown due to his very positive attitude and out spokenness. The guy knows how to win hearts. My prayers for a long and healthy life to him and his family.
