Adnan Sami just doesn't have it easy.

The singer recently posted about his decision to uninstall Snapchat due to the remark made by the app's CEO.

Variety recently reported that a former Snapchat employee revealed CEO Evan Speigel had said, "This app is only for rich people. I don't want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain."

This caused an outrage as many Indians took to Twitter to express their anger. One of them was Adnan Sami.

Unfortunately for the singer, he ended up being trolled by the Pakistani Twitterverse.

The tweets had little to do with Snapchat and more to do with Adnan Sami's Indian nationality. There were harsh comments about the singer buttering up to the country he's now a citizen of.

This shows how the singer's decision to seek Indian citizenship is still not settling well with many here. From implications of being a traitor to assumptions of him needing validation from India, there were all sorts of remarks, many too vulgar to mention.

Adnan Sami had a response for the trolls.

The singer has come under attack many times with haters taking his words to mean something controversial or anti-Pakistan. A recent example was the LoC crossfire tweet. Some Pakistanis construed his salute to the Indian Army as an affront to Pakistan. Adnan Sami responded by reminding people how his tweet was about terrorism and had no mention of Pakistanis.

One thing's for sure, Adnan Sami definitely does not enjoy being trolled.

Adnan Sami is a decent and brave person.. at least he is loyal to the state he lives in! unlike many many Pakistanis! Pakistanis should do some soul searching first!

The best way is to ignore him. Totally. His attention seeking tactics will die automatically.

he is free to choose where he wants to live or what he wants to be called. however, he seems too desperate seeking validation and attention.

I think it is better to forget this guy, he is not from amongst us. Let him enjoy his roller coaster relationship in his chosen country. His father's soul must be crying.

When you discuss some one it means he is important. The best punishment is silennce. He or she dies her or his own death. Just ignore him as if he does not exist. If you care for him then you can be considered unpatriotic ilke him so just let it go

Yes we should teach a lesson to snapchat ceo by uninstalling the app. Good move Adnan Sami, you did the right thing. And Nationality is your personal matter, you are a legal citizen of India with freedom of expression guaranteed by the Constitution. I never seen him saying anything wrong about Pakistan, then why get trolled.

I personally think that the trolling def did not "get" him. He was pretty dignified and pretty composed. Just because he changed nationality does not mean he is a bad guy. There are millions of Pakistanis who apply for a different passport every year, so what is wrong with him? There are many who come to India, as well as the reverse. Till date he has not said anything against Pakistan, so why are people getting angry at him? Why is it that a country's self image is dependent on a particular person's citizenship?

Basic fact is Snapchat CEO denied such comments moreover it was a rumour that was spread by disgruntled ex-snapchat employees.Worst case is because of this rumour Snapchat ratings on Google play fell from 4.4 to 3.9, moreover Snapchat is on damage control mode. When worlds second largest smartphone market gets offended things don't go well.

@mohammad H Khan - What a beautiful thought! This universe is vast and earth is just a tiny speck in the larger scheme of things. Instead of appreciating this master creation together, we keep looking for ways to divide ourselves from one another.
