The Pakistan Super League had its finale in Lahore yesterday and the Peshawar Zalmi trounced the Quetta Gladiators to win the PSL trophy.

Gaddafi Stadium hosted one of the biggest cricket matches of the year and the fabulous closing ceremony that preceded it.

Fans will remember many moments from the PSL, from Grant Elliot's bat drop to Kieron Pollard's push ups.

But the PSL finale had its own special moments. Let's take a look.

1) Lahore was lit up beautifully to celebrate the return of cricket to Pakistan.

2) The atmosphere was electric, the crowd was excited, but there was also that familiar chant... 'Go Nawaz Go!'

3) Reham Khan was present to show her Zalmi support. She seems to have had a ball!

4) Siraj Ul Haq and Sheikh Rasheed also came, had a swell time mingling with the crowd.

5) The win was extra special for Zalmi fast bowler Wahab Riaz. He dedicated his team's win to his late father who passed away days before PSL 2017 kicked off.

6) Darren Sammy took a lot of selfies this season, but this one won everyone's hearts.

7) PSL got a shout-out from all corners of the world for the successful finale in Lahore.

Dirty politics like Go Nawaz Go and Sethi Go should have been kept out the lovely game of cricket...these must set by a political party which did not want the PSL final in Lahore at all. Let us all unit and live and let live...

Shame on Imran Khan who asked his viewers to say 'GO NAWAZ GO' instead of supporting the game. People of Pakistan are extremely disappointed with his politics, and his suggestion of not holding PSL in Lahore. He is responsible for chasing the foreign players of Quetta Gladiators away from the scene. He should have worked together with the Govt rather than criticise every act of Govt. PSL is life and death for all Pakistanis. He has done enough damage to the country, wondering how much more damage he wants?
