Mahira Khan, Adeel Hussain and Sheheryar Munawar promote HMJ by visiting colleges and hanging with college students

With three weeks left to the release of the coming-of-age film Ho Mann Jahaan, the cast has kicked off their promotions with a tour of colleges and universities — because, after all, the film is about university life and what follows.

Starting with the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) in Karachi, trio Mahira Khan, Adeel Hussain and Sheheryar Munawar accompanied by director Asim Raza (who jokingly calls them his children) arrived at the institution to be greeted by eager students ready to snap selfies with them.

But before the stars could formally meet the students, it appeared that the selfie fad just might get trumped by a new trend: Dubsmash.

What started off as a Dubsmash challenge soon became a flashmob, as Adeel, Mahira and Sheheryar danced to the number 'Shakar Wandaan'.

A concert before the film?

Given that the film is about three friends who are deeply involved in music, Asim was more than pleased to announce a concert to before the film's release, which can be expected to be held this month.

With singers like Atif Aslam, Asraar, Zeb and Haniya and Mai Dhaai involved in the music, it'll be something to look forward.

Let's remove the word revival from our dictionaries: Mahira Khan

Although perhaps a lot has been discussed regarding the film, it was commendable to see Mahira taking the floor when one student asked the done and dusted question about the revival of Pakistani cinema.

While Asim reminded students of the audience's role in reviving cinema, Mahira was clear about the fact that cinemas has already been 'revived'. Thanking the people for supporting HMJ Mahira said, "We have revived the cinema, let's remove the word revival from our dictionaries now."

The cast will be visiting more colleges in the coming week — will yours be next?
