If there is one singer that greatly inspires Alia Bhatt, it is none other than our very own Nazia Hassan!

The Bollywood starlet revealed that if she will do a biopic, she will choose to play Nazia, who won hearts all over the world with her hit single 'Aap Jaisa Koi', reported The Indian Express

“I did not think much about it but I think I should do it now. I would love to do a biopic on Pakistani pop sensation Nazia Hassan who died very early in her age. She was a singer and I am a singer too, so it will be interesting,” she said.

Nazia's song 'Aap Jaisa Koi', which she sang at the age of 15 for the Indian film Qurbani (1980), became one of the biggest hits in Bollywood film music and Nazia went on to become the first Pakistani to win a Filmfare award. To this day, she is the youngest recipient of the award in the Best Female Playback Singer category.

With speculations that Vidya Balan may be roped in to play slain leader Benazir Bhutto, it is possible that young Alia's wish may be fulfilled, but whether she will get her chance in Lollywood or Bollywood remains to be seen.

As B-town gears for multiple biopics on Dhoni, Azhar, Dangal and Rani Laxmibai, our industry is not far behind as two biopics Shah and Manto have already been released and Mah-e-Meer is on its way to hit screens this year.

Alia will be soon seen in Shaandaar alongside Shahid Kapoor, which is slated to be released on October 22.

Ironic...No one in Pakistan, it seems is inspired by Malala, follow in her foot steps or even play a bipoic role on her. She's done more to cast a positive image of Pakistan than anyone in recent history. Of course, if you ask an average school kid, he/she will know more about actors, singers, and TV personalities and characters than about Malala!

So now Bollywood is making movies on Nazia and Mrs Bhutto before anyone from Pakistan does that. Where are Pakistani writers and filmmakers. Lack of Interest ? Not enough interesting subjects ?

I think Anushka Sharma resembles Nazia Hassan more than anyone else. She will be the right choice for it not Alia.

Please don't! Let Nazia be what she is to us for now. Some of us can't bear to see any single one portraying her yet. Wait another 20 years before doing a film on her life. Please.
