Within a week of getting a lawsuit filed against them, Mission Mangal's production team film has commenced shooting.

Mumbai Mirror reports that actors Vidya Balan and Akhsay Kumar, who are reuniting on-screen after 11 years for this project, have already started shooting their parts. Mirror also caught a glimpse of the two in their characters; Vidya in a brown saree wearing an I-card around her neck and Akhsay in a blue shirt, chatting another member.

Others to start shooting include Sonakshi Sinha who took to her social media to reveal the news.

Mission Mangal has begun shooting amidst a lawsuit by US based filmmaker Radha Bharadwaj under copyright infringement. The lawsuit called for a halt in production. Whether the suit has been settled or is being ignored, it hasn't been revealed yet. The cast and crew of Mission Mangal have not commented on the matter.

Mission Mangal is slated for release August 15 2019.
