Is Priyanka making her Bollywood comeback in Vishal Bhardwaj's next?
After she dropped out of Salman Khan-starrer Bharat, some assumed that Hollywood's keeping Priyanka Chopra pretty occupied.
But Haider director Vishal Bhardwaj revealed at a recent press event that he's in talks with Priyanka for his next film.
Priyanka has worked with Vishal twice before in thriller flicks 7 Khoon Maaf (2011) and Kaminey (2009). This time around, though, he has a different script for Priyanka — he's envisioning a role for her in his adaptation of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
Vishal is known for his Indian adaptations of Shakespearian tragedies — Maqbool (2003) from Macbeth, Omkara (2006) from Othello, and Haider (2014) from Hamlet — and now he's taking a stab at a comedy play, which makes it an exciting project.
At the press event, he said, "We are working on the script. Hopefully next year it will go on floors." This would give Priyanka time to wrap up the shoot of her ongoing Hollywood project The Sky Is Pink.
