Last night's cricket match at Lahore's Gadaffi Stadium offered a much-needed dose of positivity as Shoaib Malik smashed a quick-fired 52 against Sri Lanka in the third and last T20 international, giving Pakistan a clean sweep victory 3-0 in the series.
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi dubbed the match "historic".
And it certainly was, as the match marked the first time a major cricket team visited Pakistan since the Sri Lankan team were targeted in a deadly ambush in 2009.
