The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is just a month away and the nominations are now out!

Current Thugs of Hindostan co-stars Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan have been nominated in the Best Actor category for PINK and Dangal respectively. Hrithik Roshan too has been deemed kaabil enough to have been nominated for this category for his performance in Kaabil... yes we went there.

Pink, a movie which was an emotional thought provoker, bagged another nomination for the best film category. Karan Johar's Ae Dil Mushkil which became known for good music and stellar performances (ahem ahem Aish killed it!) along with Salman Khan's classic underdog wrestler film, Sultan were nominees for the same category as well.

Alia Bhatt's performance in Dear Zindagi led to her running in the race for best female lead against Vidya Baalan for Kahaani 2 as well as Ratna Pathak Shah and Konkona Sen Sharma's unconventional depictions in Lipstick under my Burkha

This year the festival will run from the 10th to 22nd August showcasing over 60 films across 20 languages.

2 malayalees (from the state of Kerala) & 2 bengalis (from the state of West Bengal) are in contention for best actress awards. By the way there are similarities between Keralites & Bengalis, even though they are far apart in geographical location.

@Floridian in north carolina Not true. Bengalis on average are mongloid unlike Keralites who have almond eyes and are quiet tall.
