Will artificial intelligence be changing the future for better or worse?

For now, it seems like it's the former: Aurat Raaj, the brainchild of Saba Khalid and Tino Hahn is a Pakistani digital platform that aims to educate and inspire women; the star is a chatbot Raaji, who tackles myths, taboos and confusions about important topics such as reproductive health of women (and men) from developing countries.

Nominated in the AI: empowering the future category, the animated series 'The Ultimate Survivor' featuring the chatbot Raaji has just won a tve Global Sustainability Film Award at the BAFTAs yesterday.

Talking to Images, Saba shared, "Our team is very excited. This is proof that our vision is supported locally and globally. We're going to continue to use artificial intelligence and animation to deliver our progressive ideas about health, safety and hygeine."

AI is set to revolutionise business and societies globally and for the first time these awards are celebrating the efforts of businesses who are harnessing the power of AI technology to also improve their organisation’s social and environmental performance.

The tve Global Sustainability Film Awards is a film competition for companies and institutions, recognising those whose films most powerfully portray solutions for sustainability. The competition launched on 11 May and culminated in a black-tie awards ceremony on stage at BAFTA in London’s Piccadilly on 26 November.

Competition categories focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which set ambitious targets for world development: eradicating poverty and hunger; ensuring good health, quality education and gender equality; and setting targets for affordable and clean energy, climate action and responsible consumption and production.
