Did you know? PM Abbasi used to be a total daredevil

In an interview with Christiane Amanpour, he revealed he had a passion for adventure sports — which one was his fave?
Updated 21 Sep, 2017

During his ongoing US trip to attend the United Nations General Assembly, PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi gave his first international interview to CNN's Christiane Amanpour.

In the interview that focused on deteriorating Pak-US relations, Amanpour broached an unexpected topic near the end: the PM's love for skydiving.

PM Abbasi revealed that he has an adventurous side... or at least, he used to.

He explained, "I'm a pilot, mostly been a pilot for 40+ years." (Fun fact: The PM also owns the private airline AirBlue!)

He continued, "Skydiving has also been a passion, but I've gotten too old for that now."

Does that mean no more skydiving on the weekends, Amanpour asks.

"No, not anymore, I think."

How does the PM chill during downtime now, we wonder...

He is multi talented, an electrical engineer by education and training, a businessman, a teacher, a pilot, a politician and an adventurer.

It would be a great achievment for Abbasi if he make our national soccer team a world calss football eleven. I hope his patience for football is there to be promoted.
