Rani Mukherjee is ready for her comeback with 'Hichki'

'Wanted a script that would challenge me,' says Rani
28 Feb, 2017

After having her first child, Rani Mukherjee is all set to make her comeback with film Hichki.

According to Indian Express, the actor will be returning to the silver screen after a three-year hiatus. Her last film was 2014's thriller Mardaani.

"I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way," said Rani. "Each of us has a weakness that pulls us back. It could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won’t come in the way of achieving our dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I decided to take it up."

Along with Rani, Hichki also sees the return of director Siddharth P. Malhotra. This will be the second movie the director will make after We Are Family. Seems like the two working together makes Hichki worth waiting for!

About working with Rani, Malhotra says, "I am very excited about teaming up with her. I am a huge Rani fan and cannot wait to direct her. Rani is the best fit for the movie. People can expect a positive film. It feels like I am directing my first movie. It will take time to sink in. So, I am just keeping quiet and letting it sink in."

Hichki is set to go on floors very soon.

@Iqbal hadi zaidi Feeling let down because she's better looking than any present Pakistani actress?

Looks like she used too much skin lightening cream : ( like so many bolly actresses seem to be doing lately. Thank goodness Pakistani actresses never need such superficial cosmetics since most of us are naturally fair - in fact some of us would love to have naturally "tanned" complexions ..... dark skin is beautiful so why mess with it?

@AYZA Totally agree. I do not understand why people have an obsession towards fair skin. Smita Patil wasn't fair and bi jove....she was stunning.

@AYZA Those creams don't work and that is her natural skin color, no whitening. She's bengali and bengalis tend to grow fairer with maturing age. Just look at Kajol in Dilwale, she's fairer than SRK.
