Amir Khan hopes Faryal's feud with family will soon come to an end

“Whatever happened, happened. Inshallah one day it will be sorted out,” he said

As boxer Amir Khan continues on the US tour for his charity Amir Khan Foundation, he is greeted with questions about the very public feud between his wife Faryal Makhdoom and his parents and siblings.

At his latest stop in Washington, Amir expressed his hope that his family will mend their relationship in the future.

“Whatever happened, happened. Inshallah one day it will be sorted out,” he told the Mail Online.

“We want to be one family. It will take time but everything will be sorted out.”

Amir was attending the event with Faryal and their two-year-old daughter Lamaisah. At the event, he drew some laughs as he introduced his daughter on stage, who took the mic to say hi to the attendees.

Earlier this month, Faryal claimed on Snapchat that she has long suffered harassment from her in-laws, who she said have tried to beat her and cause a rift in her marriage to Amir when she was nine months pregnant.

Her father- and mother-in-law denied these claims in a TV interview, saying that their conflict with Faryal is solely over her choice of clothes. Faryal retaliated by posting an apparently nude photograph of her brother-in-law, which she claimed was taken while he was passed out at a girl's house. She called out her in-laws for hypocrisy and double standards.

It was then Amir Khan finally broke his silence and called for the fight to end on Twitter.

"This is getting to the point where they will lose a son and a husband. Childish behaviour. Both parties need to stop this."

He was a pride of Pakistan, people like him could change the perception of Pakistan very positively. Shame of Faryal, he is becoming a laughing stock now and she has made Pakistani people look bad . Why should someone make family matters public, if she has a problem let her divorce. She will definitely spoil the career of her husband and also the image of Pakistani family values.

It won't end dear. Your wife has created this rift intentionally and she won't end it. Mark my words. Your family has been there through thick and thin and helped you to be who you are and where you are. If they were such idiots as your is calling them then you wouldn't be where you are and obviously she wouldn't be your wife. How could they be your enemies all of a sudden? This sort of situation is artificially created and I have never seen it ended. You will eventually leave your parents and won't communicate with then because you are a father and you love your child and that's where she will get you. People are going to bash me on this but this is the ground reality which is contrary to what people are watching on tv these days.

I am an 80 year old Parsi with 2 daughters a son and a Christian wife.who teaches at2 colleges. I am very conservative and have some Idea of the conflict. I have studied many photographs of Amir Khan's wife , and with only 2 doubtful photos ( Circumstantial ) , find her dress code in hundreds of photos , very acceptable. With due respect to Amir's father and mother who are probably more fussy than I am, I fully respect their personal view point . May I suggest that Amir's wife is generously accepted in to the family without further acrimony .ALL SAID AND DONE It is THEIR LIFE . My respects to parents like myself. Amir deserves better.

Faryal has the right to choose what to wear and what not. Too much nagging from her in-laws would have droven her to point of desperation. Especially when she was in her late pregnancy, it maybe difficult to bear the taunts. Amir must respect his wife, the lady who bore him a child and ask his parents not to interfere with their provate lives. This will save a lot of discomfort.

Dresss reflects one's personality, and she shows it quite a lot. When she made Amir's brother's pictures public she only proved that he was once naked, also that she does not respect anybody. I feel sorry for Amir's parents they are going through hell right now. She is trying to gain sympathy by saying in laws in Pakistan are very bad and that's how it shows in dramas. She forgets that she was not in Pakistan and that most in laws in Pakistan are not as shown in dramas. There are values and respect for relationships that she never learned. Too bad he married her, he deserved better. The sooner he makes a decision the better it would be for everyone.

In western society grils adopt the dress which they like and if this is cause of rift it's just correct.

What has started will not end easily according to the history. It will impact everyone in the family as this has become double impact by spiting the matter into public. Media has the lines to sell their shop for long time and they wont let you forget that.
